Hands up if you love a party and hands up if you love Disney. I love Disney, I mean who doesn’t, so when The Disney Store got in touch to ask if we would like to try out their new Disney Party planner I was very very excited to get involved. Ailsa is also a massive Disney fan so I got her involved in picking our theme. Of course, it had to be Frozen! What little one at the moment (plus many adults) don’t love Frozen. We were very lucky to be sent a wonderful range of goodies to be able to plan the perfect Frozen party.
The Disney Party website is so easy to navigate, you can pick from a number of different Character themes such as Micky Mouse, Toy Story, Spiderman and Finding Dory. Whatever Character or movie your little one is into they pretty much have it. You can shop specifically by the theme you choose and there you will find all the products to host the perfect party for your little one (or big one, I’m planning my next birthday in my head right now!) There you can buy your tableware, decorations, party bag supplies and there is a section to provide ideas for entertainment and food and drink, perfect if you like to impress your guests but want to keep the organising straightforward and simple. There is also an area on the website where you can plan your guest list, create your invites and schedule your activities. It really is a one-stop shop for all your needs.
Once we had planned the party it was time to send out the invites and get ready for a fabulous night of Frozen. We invited 3 little ones over for a Friday evening Picnic and movie night. If you don’t have a dining table suitable for the little ones, it is easy enough to create an indoor picnic. I cleared a big space in the living room and plopped down a picnic blanket and then the Frozen tablecloth over the top. We were then able to sit the food in the middle and allow the little ones to munch on what they wanted and have Frozen playing on the TV for them. They thoroughly enjoyed belting out Let It Go. To decorate we got the balloons blown up and the cups, napkins and straws finished off our theme.
Food wise, I went for the traditional party food. Sausage rolls, cocktail sausages, Pizza and fruit. I also picked up a Frozen cake because in my house you can’t have a party without cake. I also made the Frozen Dipped Banana recipe from the Disney Party website and although they were delicious, I am definitely not a Pinterest Mum as they looked atrocious. Definitely worth a try though, I have a few more in the freezer that I am saving for another day.
Our night didn’t end too great when Ailsa ran into the living room leaving a massive bruise on her face, so, unfortunately, I didn’t get too many photos of the party. Overall though the little ones had a great night and all the adults were thoroughly impressed with the goodies sent to us by The Disney Store. We can’t wait to get planning the next one, Disney Princess party anyone?
