My Non Negotiables

I have been tagged by Chantal from Milk and Nappies to share my Non Negotiables list. Things that make me happy that I won’t compromise on.

Eating Healthily and Keeping Fit (with the occasional treat of course)

Now as much as I love Pizza, McDonalds and other unhealthy things they make me feel a bit yucky after I eat them, bloated and just a bit meh. When I eat healthy and do some light exercise I feel so much better for it and when I feel better I am happier. Of course I will still be eating the occasional treats. No doubt about it! But I need to keep myself on track and keep eating nutritious foods so I feel at the top of my game!

Make More Time for Me

I think most if not all Mums don’t take enough time out for themselves. We are all busy working, looking after our little ones, keeping a house clean and maybe cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Before Ailsa I used to have a relaxing bath most Sunday’s whilst watching YouTube videos on my Ipad, now my bath is full of bath toys and I hear a constant hum of “mumma, mumma” whilst taking a quick bath or shower. I think now is the time to take those relaxing baths when I can, maybe after Ailsa has gone to bed or even on a  Saturday afternoon if she is playing with her Daddy. I just need to get them in and hopefully get more than 5 minutes before the winging starts. Hopefully I will get some time to catch up on YouTube or read a book.

Get Back into Make-up

Not so long ago make-up was a huge passion of mine and how I got into reading Blogs and watching Vlogs. Since Ailsa came along I have hardly any time to practise my skills or even bother with make-up some days. I am so out of practise now that my eye-liner work is shoddy and I look like I have black eyes once I am done some days with Ailsa trying to climb up my legs to see what I am doing. So this is something I am going to work on especially at weekends when Daddy is home and we are going somewhere nice, or have a little practise whilst Ailsa naps. I have so many nice products that I don’t get the chance to use so I will be getting them out and popping them on more.

Make Time for Blogging

I thoroughly enjoy this hobby of mine and it is something that I want to take more seriously. I really struggle some days with juggling my time and getting in the right mood to write up a post. I feel the need to organise my time more and make sure I fit in some blogging time everyday, even if it is a quick half hour to draft a blog post or edit some photos, at least I will be half way there to getting a post out live.

So there you have it my non negotiables list.  I nominate Mrs Lighty from All Things Spliced,  Abi from Something About Baby and Hannah from The Diary of an Ordinary Mum

Keeping fit is the one that I would most like to be able to do, but it seems there are never enough hours in the day! I used to watch make up vlogs as well-Lisa Eldridge is my favourite. I can't remember the last time I watched one though, and my make up is shocking-when I wear any! #fortheloveofBLOG

This is a really interesting list, and it's so good that you keep these things in mind in order to take care of yourself and your own interests. It's easy not to, when you are a new parent especially. Good luck with it all. #ForTheLoveOfBLOG

Your list is fab. What a great idea this is! I think the making more time for you is a very important essential to have in life #fortheloveofBLOG

I need to make a list like this. Having had my second baby just four months ago I sometimes feel that I have lost myself a bit! Totally agree that me time is a necessity but it can be hard to fit it in can't it! Thanks for sharing with us on #fortheloveofBLOG x

Some of these are similar to mine – aside from the eating healthily (I love junk too much!) Time alone is SO important #fortheloveofblog
